What should my expectations be?

The purpose of our camps for 5-6yo and 7-9yo is to be an introduction to the creative and performing arts. We are not only focused on performing, but all aspects of the performing arts, including confidence, making friends, learning how to communicate with your castmates, and learning what goes into a production. Our end-of-week productions are not the entire show; we only include up to 3 songs from each show. Scroll to the bottom to see an example of our day schedule.

Our 10- to 13-year-olds focus more on performing. They will have their own performance at the end and have more time on stage!

What are the hours and locations?

9:00-4:00 pm Monday to Friday (Early and Extended Care available for an additional fee, see registration for details)

757 Long Point Rd Suite D Mt. Pleasant, SC

May I drop off early/pick up late?

Yes! New this year, we are able to offer early and extended care for an additional fee. If you’re not registered for early/extended care, our doors remain locked for safety.

If your child must come late or be picked up early, we require written notice as soon as possible. Students will only be dismissed to those people listed in the registration. All adults picking up students must have a government-issued ID to sign out a child. Late pick-ups will be subject to an additional fee.

What are the ages?

We have three age groups: 5-6yo, 7-9yo, and 10-13yo.

Some activities will be joined, some will be separate.

Each age group has a camp offered every week of this summer.

*We are unable to offer camp to 3-4 y/o due to ongoing undisclosed potty training issues.

What are the student/teacher ratios?

5-6 yo 1:20

7-9 yo 1:23

10-13 yo 1:26

What if my child is sick?

We ask that you keep your child home if they have any symptoms. We reserve the right to send your child home if they are ill. This is at the teacher’s discretion.

Do you offer refunds if we are unable to attend?

No. Fees — minus a $50 admin fee — may be transferred to another camp if space is available, or to a friend or family member for use at a summer camp in 2027.

Do you background check employees?

We do!

What types of activities do you do during camp?

All activities are based around creative and performing arts.

Activities include crafts, games, yoga/meditation, singing, dancing, and acting.

What type of yoga/meditation do you offer?

Our yoga and meditation classes are all about helping kids move their bodies and build simple mindfulness skills. We use kid-friendly, guided videos like Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventure — no chanting, and no discussion of yoga as a spiritual or religious practice.

Is there a showcase at the end?

There is! Each camp will have an age-appropriate showcase every Friday starting at 3 pm. Students will wear a FAME t-shirt given by us, and any bottoms they're wearing that day. You do not need to purchase specific clothing or shoes for our camps.

5-6yo, 7-9yo: 3-3:30pm

10-13yo: 3:40-4 or 4:15pm

Summer Camp Policies

These are the policies that apply to all summer camp programs at Encore Music Hall/FAME Performing Arts (EMH/FAME PA). By registering for camp, families agree to the terms outlined below.

Payments & Refunds

There are no refunds or stop payments for EMH/FAME PA camp programs. By registering, families agree to pay tuition in full using the payment information provided at registration or saved to their account profile. If a camper must unenroll for any reason during a camp session, the family remains financially responsible for the balance until it is paid in full.

FAME Performing Arts is authorized to charge the payment method on file for any camp registered through FAME Performing Arts, including registrations made in person, online, by phone, or via email. No payment details are collected or stored via unsecured channels.

Liability

EMH/FAME PA is not responsible or liable for any injuries or accidents that occur on site or during field trip outings.

General Policies

Families are expected to be familiar with all EMH/FAME PA studio policies and procedures, including but not limited to hours of operation, the lesson make-up policy, attendance, canceling lessons/programs, and payments/billing, including refunds.

Medicine Policy

EMH/FAME PA staff are not authorized to administer medicine — unless it is a life-altering medication such as an Epi-Pen or anti-seizure medication — without a current doctor's note listing the medication name, expiration date, dosage amount/time, and the child's name on both the note and the medication label. This includes over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and cough/cold medicine.

Illness Policy

If a camper is experiencing any symptoms of illness, please keep them home for 24 hours until symptoms resolve without the aid of medication. If a camper begins showing symptoms while at EMH/FAME PA, their parent/guardian or emergency contact will be notified and asked to pick them up immediately.

Allergies

If a camper has allergies requiring medication (an Epi-Pen or another medication such as Benadryl), the same guidelines outlined in the Medicine Policy apply. The allergy, its signs/symptoms (rash, difficulty breathing, etc.), and the allergy action plan (for example, giving Benadryl at the first sign of symptoms or immediately administering an Epi-Pen) must be clearly documented in a doctor's note.

Camp Cancellations

Camp payments are non-refundable. In the unlikely event EMH/FAME PA must close, families will receive a full refund for any fees paid. If a camper is unable to attend for any reason, the camp balance — minus a $50 admin fee — may be applied to any 2027 camp for a friend or family member.

Registering for camp at EMH/FAME PA constitutes agreement to these terms.
