What is Jr Troupe?

Somewhere around ten or eleven, a lot of kids start deciding what they're "not good at" — and once they decide, they usually stop trying. No audition or callback should ever get to make that call for them, especially not this early. We've watched kids who almost quit, who almost shrunk themselves down to fit somewhere safe, turn out to have more range — literally and otherwise — than anyone expected.

Jr Troupe exists because middle schoolers deserve a stage that grows with them, not one that starts sorting them into "leads" and "everyone else." Not to be groomed for a conservatory. Not to be pushed into deciding this is their whole identity. Just to keep performing, keep growing, and find out what they're capable of — while it's still safe to not have that figured out.

This is where it keeps going. What they do with it next is still entirely up to them.

Why Parents Choose FAME Jr Troupe

You’re In the Moment You Sign Up

Jr Troupe doesn't audition kids at the door. Register, and you're part of the cast — full stop. Once we're in rehearsal, our team casts specific roles based on the show, but the door to Troupe itself never closes. Enough kids sign up, we'll simply run another Troupe.

A Show They Actually Finish, and Are Proud Of

This isn't a recital or a showcase. Jr Troupe performs a full production in front of a real audience. At an age when a lot of kids are pulling back and getting self-conscious, this is a chance to do something hard, finish it, and take a real bow for it.

Every Group Class, On Us

Your Troupe tuition includes free access to all of our group classes: voice, piano, flute, acting, and more.

Confidence That Shows Up Outside of Troupe, Too

Parents tell us their kids speak up more in class, try new things, and carry themselves differently after Jr Troupe. That's not a coincidence. Middle school is exactly when kids start shrinking themselves — and discovering they can hold a stage pushes back against that, hard.

Their People, Right When They Need Them

Jr Troupe kids become each other's people. They work hard together, struggle together, and celebrate together on opening night. Some of these friendships last long after the final curtain.

What Parents

Are Saying

Jane W.

(Jr Troupe and Summer Camp)

"It took a while for my daughter to find her “thing”, and it happened at Fame. Our experience started with a one week camp, and Fame quickly became my daughter’s community. We went from camp, to the afterschool program to Troupe. Each experience drew my daughter into one of the most accepting and encouraging environments, where she made some remarkable friends. Mary has created such a wonderfully welcoming environment and she truly loves what she does and these kids. She once said, “the most important thing is for the kids to be accepted and have fun” and that is exactly what happens. I am so thankful we found FAME!"

Adam W.

(Jr Troupe and Summer Camp)

"The main reason why we love Ms. Mary and Fame so much is that your focus is on the kids first."

Gabby P.

(Jr Troupe and Summer Camp)

"Fame has been such a blessing for our son! He absolutely thrives in this environment and has grown so much through his experience with their troupes. We’re incredibly grateful for everything he has learned and the confidence he has gained along the way. Ms. Mary is amazing and has been so supportive and wonderful throughout his experience. We couldn’t be happier to be part of the Fame family!"

N. Crew

(Jr Troupe)

"We have had the best experience at FAME! My daughter has been able to tap into her creative side while meeting the best friends and having a blast. Mary is such a fun director of the program, she just loves the kids and has a lot of theatre knowledge!"
