Based on Arnold Lobel’s beloved books and nominated for three Tony Awards, A Year with Frog and Toad is a charming celebration of friendship, adventure, and the joy of being yourself.
Through four fun-filled seasons, the cheerful Frog and grumpy Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and discover life’s little lessons together.
With a hummable score and playful blend of vaudeville and make-believe, this whimsical musical captures the warmth and humor of two best friends who embrace their differences.
From spring’s first blooms to winter’s snowy days, Frog and Toad prove that true friendship endures through every season.

WonderStage is a professional children's theater company brought to you by FAME Performing Arts. Unlike FAME's student-led Troupe productions, WonderStage features paid professional adult actors who perform engaging, interactive shows created specifically for kids and their families.
Every production is chosen to captivate young imaginations while delivering real value: confidence, curiosity, and a love of live storytelling. WonderStage is part of the growing professional performing arts community in the Charleston Lowcountry, and we're proud to call Mount Pleasant home
Meet Jen Blanton,
Founder
Jen Blanton is the founder of FAME Performing Arts and WonderStage. After a career-ending injury at 18 ended her path as a performer, Jen turned toward teaching — and in the years that followed, built FAME Performing Arts into a Mt. Pleasant, SC studio dedicated to helping young people find their confidence through the performing arts.
WonderStage was born from a simple idea Jen kept coming back to: young audiences deserve more opportunities to experience real, professional theatre in their own community. She built WonderStage to do exactly that, bringing local professional actors together to create high-quality productions for kids and families across Charleston.
Today, WonderStage has grown to include Mainstage, FAME's pre-professional internship program, giving teens the chance to work directly alongside WonderStage's professional company — on stage and behind the scenes — as they explore a future in the industry.
For Jen, WonderStage is simply an extension of what FAME has always been about: creating space for young people to discover what they're capable of, surrounded by people who take their potential seriously.

What ages is WonderStage for?
Our shows are designed for kids ages 2 and up, accompanied by an adult. Children 18 months and under do not need a ticket but must sit in a caregiver's lap.
Is WonderStage the same as FAME's Troupe shows?
Not quite. FAME's Music Theater Troupe features student performers in Broadway Jr. productions. WonderStage is a separate professional theater company under the FAME umbrella, featuring paid adult actors performing for young audiences.
Where are shows performed?
All WonderStage productions take place at FAME's Encore Music Hall, located at 757 Long Point Rd, Suite D, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 (between Sunshine House Daycare and Long Point Veterinarian).
How long are the shows?
Approximately one hour, perfect for young attention spans.
What is the VIP experience?
VIP ticket holders get an exclusive meet-and-greet with the cast after the show, a $10 concession credit, and a signed poster. All guests under 16 must have an accompanying adult with a VIP ticket.
