What is Jr Troupe?

Somewhere around ten or eleven, a lot of kids start deciding what they're "not good at" — and once they decide, they usually stop trying. No audition or callback should ever get to make that call for them, especially not this early. We've watched kids who almost quit, who almost shrunk themselves down to fit somewhere safe, turn out to have more range — literally and otherwise — than anyone expected.

Jr Troupe exists because middle schoolers deserve a stage that grows with them, not one that starts sorting them into "leads" and "everyone else." Not to be groomed for a conservatory. Not to be pushed into deciding this is their whole identity. Just to keep performing, keep growing, and find out what they're capable of — while it's still safe to not have that figured out.

This is where it keeps going. What they do with it next is still entirely up to them.

Why Parents Choose FAME Jr Troupe

You’re In the Moment You Sign Up

Jr Troupe doesn't audition kids at the door. Register, and you're part of the cast — full stop. Once we're in rehearsal, our team casts specific roles based on the show, but the door to Troupe itself never closes. Enough kids sign up, we'll simply run another Troupe.

A Show They Actually Finish, and Are Proud Of

This isn't a recital or a showcase. Jr Troupe performs a full production in front of a real audience. At an age when a lot of kids are pulling back and getting self-conscious, this is a chance to do something hard, finish it, and take a real bow for it.

Every Group Class, On Us

Your Troupe tuition includes free access to all of our group classes: voice, piano, flute, acting, and more.

Confidence That Shows Up Outside of Troupe, Too

Parents tell us their kids speak up more in class, try new things, and carry themselves differently after Jr Troupe. That's not a coincidence. Middle school is exactly when kids start shrinking themselves — and discovering they can hold a stage pushes back against that, hard.

Their People, Right When They Need Them

Jr Troupe kids become each other's people. They work hard together, struggle together, and celebrate together on opening night. Some of these friendships last long after the final curtain.

What Parents

Are Saying

Charlotte started small and dreamed BIG, and is exploding with confidence and desire to perform. We credit FAME with increasing her ability to make presentations at school, church, and in the bigger arts community. She has been nurtured into a leader and has taken these skills beyond the walls of FAME.

We cannot say enough great things about Fame and what it has meant for our daughters! It's been an amazing way for them to explore their interests in acting and theater, and the joy in seeing their confidence grow over our two seasons is hard to put into words. Their troupe has become a little community for them and we are grateful to Ms. Mary for keeping it running smoothly! She genuinely cares for these kids and it shows in everything she does. We are so lucky to have found this program.
