FAME Studio Policies
MY MUSIC STAFF ACCOUNT
To be an official FAME Performing Arts student you must register for an account here. You will receive lesson reminders, invoice notifications and studio announcements from this account. You must ‘opt-in’ to receive e-mail communication. If you do not receive a lesson reminder and show up for a lesson, that lesson is not guaranteed.
As of August 15, 2016 PLEASE NOTE- ALL ACCOUNTS MUST HAVE CREDIT CARD ON FILE. Any unpaid lesson will be automatically cancelled. Credit cards will be charged for any missed lesson. You may pay by check, cash or credit card on file (automatically charged). Monthly Lesson Program fees are due by the 1st of each month. If cash/check/card payment is not received by close of business on the 5th, a $25 late fee will be charged to your account. The A la carte lesson fee is due at the time of booking. Please note, if using a donated gift via a fundraiser, this gift must be present at payment.
You are paying for your guaranteed lesson time. Your monthly payment guarantees your weekly lesson time. If you are unable to commit to weekly lessons, we recommend our A la carte option which allows you to pay per lesson. However, your weekly lesson time is not guaranteed with this option and must be scheduled each week based on teacher’s availability.
Monthly Lesson Program as of January 1, 2020
$225/month flat rate for 30 min weekly
$425/month flat rate for 60 min weekly
$190/month flat rate for 30 min weekly
$360/month flat rate for 60 min weekly
A la carte
These lessons are paid at booking.
In studio A la carte voice per lesson charge $60/30 min, $120/60 min.
In studio A la carte instrument per lesson charge $55/30 min, $110/60 min.
Late Fee: $25/month charged on the 5th at close of business
Refunds are not offered. Any fees paid to the studio are non-transferrable. We must receive written notification before close of business on the last day of the month if you choose to cancel your monthly contract.
Monthly Lesson Program
Once you are signed up for lessons online you will be scheduled for a regular weekly lesson. Lessons are once a week. Bi-weekly lessons are no longer offered after 2:30pm due to the demand of those lesson times. It is your responsibility to show up on time and prepared.
FAME follows the CCSD School Calendar and is open every day except the following. Monthly students are not offered lessons when school is closed. Lesson rate remains the same each month, you are not charged more when there are 5 lessons, you are not charged less when there are 3 lessons, etc.
Please note that in the event of a teacher emergency, the studio has the right to bring a sub in for your lesson at no notice to you. Make ups are not guaranteed for student absences, so please work with your teacher to schedule a time that works for you. If you give up your monthly lesson time, we cannot guarantee the same time when you return. If you miss a lesson, your teacher will send you lesson materials.
Weather: In the event that the studio closes for severe weather, group lessons will be offered. Students may participate in any group lesson with any teacher that fits with their schedule.
A la carte
Your weekly lesson time is not guaranteed and must be scheduled each week based on teacher’s availability. Payment is due at booking.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE Your lesson time is your lesson time whether you are there or not, so please respect the appointment time. If you are unable to commit to a monthly lesson time/payment, please consider our a la carte option and schedule your lesson each week.
Payment is due at booking. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for all lessons. If notice is not give with that time, no makeup lesson will be given. Any time a scheduled lesson doesn't occur (holiday, teacher absence, student absence) and notice is provided, teachers will provide either a live or recorded video lesson for the student. Refunds will not be offered.
Two or more unexcused lesson cancellations within 6 months may result in loss of guaranteed lesson time. Please take your lesson time seriously. Cancellations must be received via e-mail.
Studio communication will go through e-mail. It is important for us to have everything written down so we can always reference any changes in schedule or cancellations.
